Choose from “spot and stalk” mule deer hunting in open Sandhills to stand hunting for whitetails in the North Platte River Valley.
Deer hunting is provided on private land located in the Sandhills, Plains, and Upper Platte firearm deer units. Refer to the Nebraska Big Game Guide available on: www.OutdoorNebraska.org to find these units. Hunters can apply for the afore-mentioned units during the respective application periods or purchase a state-wide buck only permit, as well as find additional deer hunting information, statistics and regulations including permit and habitat stamp fees, and the downloadable Big Game Guide.
